ICAM Operators Courses

ICAM Administrator/Operator Modules - I020


Who should Attend:

ICAM System Administrators/Operators who are responsible for operations and maintenance of a particular service.


Learning Objectives:

  • Perform basic VMS functions (sign on/off the system)

  • Utilize VMS Mail system to report problems using ICAM menu options

  • Lookup and maintain cardholder records

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot operation/user problems

  • Create ad hoc reports via ICAM menu options

  • Identify hardware used for specific modules

  • Discuss/perform administrative functions for modules


Course Outline:


    Access Control (I021)

    • Calendar, Schedule, and Door Definitions

    • Create, list, and modify groups

    • Maintain Access for Groups and Individual Cardholders

    • Exceptions Database


    Debit/Credit (I023)

    • Configure 727 and/or Turbo Readers

    • Check cash and debit/credit ledgers

    • Create X and Z reports and reset tickets


    Meal Plans (I025)

    • Tasks by ID number (sign in, weekly and daily counts, current status)

    • Tasks by location or meal plan (current status, rejections, meal usage)

    • Configuration (define meal plans, schedules, locations, rules)

    • Auto Meal Plan

    • Discounting


    Time and Attendance (I026)

    • Manage payroll cycles, departments, and overtime rules

    • Maintain employee records

    • Configure and schedule reports


Optional Topics:

    Alarm Processing (I022)

    • Monitor alarms

    • List and delete alarms

    • Alarm management setup


    Conferences and Events (I024)

    • Conference setup and Clear

    • Multi-conference entries

    • Exclusions database

    • Generate tickets and statistics

    • List Individual activities and failures


    Vending (I027)

    • Laundry configuration

    • Copier configuration

    • Vending messages

    • Create site files, X and Z cards


    Prerequisites:

    A working knowledge of VMS and DCL functions is encouraged
