ICAM
Access Control Module
The Access Control module of the ICAM software provides a high
level of control to facilities for the corporation or institution.
Cardholders can be granted access either individually or by group,
based on time of day and day of week, with different time of day
schedules applying to different days of the week. During
holiday periods, access to doors can be assigned to a
different set of times. Holiday periods can be assigned on a per door basis.
Management of the access control system can be easily distributed through
the campus network. Each operator can be assigned a set of doors and a set
of access groups under their authority. They can then grant access, either
individually or by group, for cardholders to their set of doors. They can
also generate access reports for their set of doors. The management or display
of other doors in the system is not visible to an individual operator.
The ICAM system can also generate and maintain access groups based on demographic
information (e.g. housing code or employee status) in the ICAM database. These
groups can then be assigned access to facilities on a door-by-door basis.
Reports are available from the system detailing the date, time, and cardholder
for each attempted access to the facility.
Readers frequently used with the debit/credit module are the
Diebold Access series of access control readers and
the Diebold 1080 series of readers.
