Bank Card

The Bank Card module of the ICAM system allows credit cards such as Visa or MasterCard to be used at a point of sale location. The transaction is received at the card reader, passed to the ICAM host, then transmitted to the bank network through a DataTran modem. The module includes extensive reporting capabilities for transactions sent to the bank network and capabilities for editing batches during the settlement process. Transactions can be originated from a card reader or from a terminal attached to the ICAM host.

Readers frequently used with the debit/credit module are the Diebold 727, the Diebold Turbo reader, and the Comtrex Sprint series of POS terminals.
