ICAM Debit/Credit Module

The debit/credit module of ICAM gives the company or institution the ability to set up accounts for their cardholders to use in lieu of cash at various campus facilities. Debit plans allow cardholders to deposit funds with the system and use it as needed. Credit plans allow cardholders to use their card to purchase items. Purchases are accrued and may later be billed to the cardholder.

Debit funds may be deposited through card readers, through operator terminals, or transferred from other computer systems, either in a batch mode using the import facility or in real time using the encrypted network interface to the system. Credit accounts may be settled manually through terminals or card readers or by computer systems using the invoicing feature or the network interface. The invoicing feature produces a detailed cardholder listing of transactions as well as a summary listing of cardholder ID and amount.

The system currently supports up to 99 debit/credit accounts per cardholder.
